Fit for BIM –
Competences for Digital Construction in VET and Higher Education
The digital transformation is increasingly influencing all operational work processes and changing the way we work and learn. Also in the construction industry nothing works without digital technologies, systems and procedures – such as “Building Information Modeling” (BIM).
Fit for BIM creates models for the integration of digital competences into vocational and higher education and thus contributes to securing the supply of skilled labour.

“Digitalisation has also a significant impact on the construction industry. Well-trained specialists are essential to improve the construction planning processes with methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM). The BGZ project Fit for BIM has recognized this and imparts the necessary digital skills for Berlin’s labour market.”
